Do I need to reconfirm my booking?

Yes, please reconfirm the day before departure, so we can let you know any additional information about your tour.

What do I need to bring?

Hat, sun block (sun protection cream), personal insect repellent, camera, good walking shoes, warm clothes for night time, swimwear in the summer, toiletries, towel, pillow and a sleeping bag (or you can hire one for $20).

What is a swag?

A swag is a bedroll made of canvas with a mattress inside. You can put your sleeping bag inside and zip it up and have a perfect view of the stars.

Do I need a sleeping bag?

Yes, it is a health regulation requirement to have a sleep sheet or sleeping bag inside your swag. It will also keep you warmer at night.

How much water do I need to bring?

You need to bring at least 2 litres of water (3 litres in the hotter months). You can refill your bottle as we go from place to place.

How many people on the tour?

We have a maximum of 24 on a tour. Our buses have 21 or 24 seats.

Can I start and finish the tour in Uluru?

Only on our Rock-to-Rock Tour you can start and finish in Uluru.  Our 3-Day Rock Trip which can start in Uluru at around 1pm, will always end in Alice Springs.

How cold does it get at night?

In winter temperatures can drop to 0ºC. In summer it is usually around 20ºC. Please check weather forecasts before the tour so you can bring appropriate clothing for the conditions.

Are there many flies out there?

In summer there can be many flies. It is advised that you purchase a fly net if you don’t like them.

How much luggage can I bring?

If you are on the Uluru 3-Day Tour, only bring a small backpack and store your large luggage in your hostel.

How fit do I have to be?

The tour has 3 large walks ranging from 6kms to 9.4kms at Uluru. There are shorter options if you feel you can’t do the big walks.

Do you cater for specific diets?

We can cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free and lactose intolerant passengers. Please understand we are on a camping tour so the food you may usually have may not be readily available. Please contact us when booking if you have any specific dietary needs.
