About Uluru

The UNESCO World Heritage site of Uluru is an unmistakable symbol of the Australian outback and is one of the top destinations for travellers to Australia. Standing 348 metres tall, Uluru is surrounded by waterholes, springs, caves and fascinating rock formations as well as ancient aboriginal rock paintings.

“The rock” is famous for having many “moods”, and appearing to change colour depending on the time of day, the weather, and the season.

positive review  If you really want to see what Uluru and the outback has to offer, join Mulgas. You won't regret it. Best 4D3N so far during my time here in Australia. You get views, treks plus food so good you wonder if you're really on a camping tour. Already missing the people and our amazing tour guide Scruffy. Thanks for the memories!

positive review  We just completed a three day Uluru and Kings Canyon / Watarrka trip with Ray and 22 lovely folks. We loved it! Ray is an exceptional tour leader- very knowledgeable, takes great care of everyone and overall top bloke. We got to see places we’d probably not discover on our own. We highly recommend the experience- also very reasonably priced.

Merci Ray ! ----- [EN] 4 days stuck in the desert in the middle of unknown people rather than just with my friends : that was not the most exciting idea for me... I'm so glad my friends convinced me to get into the bus with 17 people. Thanks to our amazing dynamic tour guide : - we were always at the right place at the right time (sunsets, sunrises, hiking before it gets too warm...) - we learned so many little tips, anecdotes, about aborigenal culture, the place, Australian animals, - we felt safe at everytime (day and night) even those who feared sleeping in the middle of Australian deserts The nights under the stars, sleeping in a swag are sooo wonderful The food is more than needed and good That was an awesome time, even for backpackers prefering to be solo it can be cheaper to come and enjoy the tour (perfect to meet people as well) Thanks Ray !

positive review  Was worried this trip would be out of my comfort zone but honestly had the best time and most amazing experience. The walks were incredible, I didn’t realize how much Australia had to offer. Ben was a great tour guide, good banter and fab cook. Made some great friends and will never forget this experience!

  • positive review  Our tour guide Danny was incredible at ensuring our experience was top notch. His style made sure that this was more than just a bus tour but an experience. Whether it’d be hiking, sky diving, or setting up camp we felt that we were part of the Australian outback and made connections with amazing people. Thank you Danny for creating amazing lifelong memories.

positive review  What an amazing adventure!! My partner and I went on the 3 day camping trip to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon with 19 others and THE MOST WONDERFUL guide JAKE! To say it was incredible would be an understatement. From the door to door service (pick up/drop off), amazing food & breathtaking scenery to the great company and informative tours, this trip is the definition of value for money! There are some very early morning starts but watching the sunrise over Uluru and Kings Canyon makes all that so worth it! Sleeping under the stars next to the campfire at Kings Creek Station was simply the most blissful outback experience of my life. Jake was SO knowledgeable and taught us more than we ever expected about the geology of the landscape along with the rich culture of the Aboriginal ancestors that called this land home. I can’t thank Jake enough for his hospitality. He went above and beyond at any point he could; he provided clear explanations, cooked amazing food (catering for all needs) and told some hilarious white lies that had even us Aussies fooled! So THANKYOU to all involved for making our trip to the red centre so unimaginably memorable. We are SO grateful and will be recommending you to everyone we know! 🤗
